Ahhh, recs!! Probably you have already linked all the good stuff, I'll check if I have more to share. I have done the same lately... reading all nights before and after the movie, to the point that I'm not sporting permanent dark ring under my eyes.

Haha, yes, it's a problem. I should be, you know, actually sleeping, instead sometimes I stay up till 2 AM reading Winter Soldier fic and hate myself the next day. Bucky Barnes is a curse.

If you find any new and exciting fics or fanworks don't be ashamed to link them to the comm! I'm always open to more Bucky stuff.

Oh yes, I'm doing the same and regretting it every morning. The funny thing to me is that I didn't like the first Cap movie, and I honestly didn't even notice Bucky all that much! I think I even thought at some point that he seemed a bit of a jerk. But when Steve saves him from the scientist I remember thinking already, 'woa, there could actually be a future potential for this guy?' and then he died and I was all DDD: for the rest of the movie.

I'm SO happy we get the Winter Soldier in the next movie too, damn.

I'll try and make my own rec post tonight! I like sharing stuff anyway ;D

It seems like a lot of people feel that way about the first Cap film, even the first Thor film too, and I'm just the exact opposite and adored both. Bucky was one of my favorite parts of Cap 1, I loved his relationship with Steve, so it was no surprise to me that I ended up loving Winter Soldier. The whole 'bff forgets, hero longs for their return while risking their life to get them back' thing is 100% my taste, too. I'm glad Bucky got another chance!

Me too! Although I loved Avengers and look forward to Avengers: AOU, right now all I want is Cap 3 and more Bucky Barnes.

If you can't get to it that's fine, but I'll def check it out if you manage!

HIS FACE ON THAT ICON THOUGH

What I felt regarding Cap 1 and Bucky was that, like for this one, they could have explored his character a bit more. It feels like there's always no time for real characterization on these Marvel movies! I do love the action to pieces (when it's done in way I like: in fact I liked this movie a lot more than the Avengers), but I also felt that they could have driven the point home a little bit more with the bucky/cap. I don't know, maybe more flashback? I felt it was a bit too fast, especially if you haven't seen the 1th movie in a long time.

OH NOES, I liked the first Thor and didn't much like Thor 2. And I have to be honest though, I didn't love any of them like Cap 2 because there was way too much Earth/Jane/Darcy/etc on both of them and I don't like the Earthlings at all in those 2 movies. :/

IA that they could always stuff a bit more characterization in the films, and some characters could benefit from it a lot more than others. Bucky is one of those. Not saying he doesn't come off as sympathetic or likable as is, at least to me he does, but a few more flashbacks or a bit more Bucky with Cap and the Howling Commandos in the first movie would've been nice. There's only so much time to cram everything in and Marvel always runs out, even if they do a good job regardless. (The action is great though, particularly in this film; they did a better job than usual and I hope that continues in Cap 3. Can't wait to see what Bucky will be doing, he couldn't get much more badass, right?)

I loved the first Thor and thought it was a much better standalone film than Thor 2. Thor 2 felt lacking in a lot of ways, despite it having some nice moments, good acting, and beautiful shots.
