It's on gdocs and LJ and AO3. Where's it going to go? I'm pretty sure it's safer online/in the cloud than in one of the many laptops I've blown up. :D

haha, fair enough. I'd feel ok about it if it was online in multiple places. But if it was really really important I'd probably also save it to the hard drive because...IDK, actually. It just seems like a good idea, like the next best thing to having a hard copy - more vulnerable, but more special. /weird reasoning

I think a stupid stick/thumbdrive might be best, but I bet if my fic was lost online there would be some new technology that means it doesn't go into any ports anymore. *Eyes old Kanguru hard drive on the bookshelf*
