Ugh. Being in a job that makes you miserable is the worst. Though that sense of relief when you leave is amazing. If it isn't a job you really like, I'd try finding a new one.

The thing is, where I work doesn't bother me. I like the fast paced rush to get things done and get things out and I like a good chunk of the people in the area. I'm just fucking pissed at my manager for treating me this way.

He didn't WANT me where I am currently to begin with, but recent moves and drops of other people in the area, he had no choice. And everyone I know who's been working here for quite some years has told me time and again that if he REALLY wanted me for the job, he'd have finagled it for me. Even if I was out ranked or even a job below, they tend to pick who they want, especially if it's someone who knows the area and what needs to be done.

But, apparently, I wasn't good enough or he really REALLY didn't want me there, but now can't even put me back where I was.
