I'm faintly confused by what you're actually asking me, but is it why I don't ship Steve with Sam? Because really I was just defending shipping Clint/Coulson as not a race thing, and I'm not saying I don't ship Sam/Steve. TBH, I came out of Cap 2 pretty overwhelmed by how much I loved the movie and by how many feels I had for everyone, and not really shipping anyone in particular. I liked the friendships. I would read Sam/Steve. I would read Steve/Bucky. I would read Natasha with any of them. Honestly, I'm pretty happy to ship any character I like with any other character (or characters... I <3 threesomes) I like, so long as it's not incest or non-con or omegaverse or putting someone like Clint with someone like Loki, who mind-raped him. Some of my favorite ships do involve black guys... and black ladies, too.
