to flip the exercise thread

how's every-ones health, anyone been to the doctors recently?

My health hasn't been great, but I complain about it way more than I should. Especially in light of some of the serious health problems people have mentioned on this community in the last few weeks.

I'm still waiting to hear back about health insurance (either I get accepted on to state aid or I get denied and can file for scaled fees at a local clinic), so no doctor for me recently. My mental health is really taking a beating and my physical health is suffering due to it. Mostly weight, muscle, and lack of sleep related stuff but enough to be a noticeable impact. Here's hoping the state gets back to me soon!

My health is generally bad, but doctors don't seem to have any answers. I couldn't live without my chiropractor, though.

My teeth are not too hot. Also, I have had this recurring...bumps on the inside of my mouth. I think they are mucous cyst. I mentioned it my dentist and he told me to try "Magic Mouthwash." But that shit was $73 WITH insurance so I'll just learn to live with it.

I've been unhappily gluten free for a little while and hadn't noticed a difference in how I felt.... until today, when I went out to a restaurant with family and splurged a little. I don't strictly know whether it was the gluten or just the fact that it was a heavier meal in general, but oh god am I feeling the difference now. Other than that, I'm fine!

Yep. :/

Thank goodness for a student health service at my college, though, or I would have been SOL. As it stands, the doctor changed my asthma meds on me, so that's happening.

On the plus side, I went to the eye doctor, and my astigmatism has gotten better? I think? I have less of one, at any rate.

Weird skin patches and depression/anxiety flare-ups, but otherwise I'm not too bad lately.

Timely.

Went to the GPs today.

All my blood tests came back great, except for slightly low vitamin D.

And then they criticised my high stress lifestyle choices, worklife balance, and central form of relaxation with friends - advising me that it and my unideal diet are going to end up catching up with me if I don't fix them in the next few years.

Just went to the doctor today for my first physical in like five years. lol I've had insurance and stuff, just... haven't made appointments, and only tend to go when something is wrong with me.

That "pelvic exam" was the most action I've gotten in nearly a year, kinda depressing tbh haha

I haven't been to the doctor lately, but nothing much is new with me. Period of high stress = nausea, appetite loss, and sleep issues, plus a flare up of my back problems. Though, honestly, I can't complain that much; there's nothing wrong with me that causes more than physical discomfort, so I consider myself lucky :) What about you, anon?

...I don't go to the doctor like I should. I get regular dental cleanings and go to my dermatologist as needed (for eczema), but lately my skin has been pretty clear and I haven't had any other major issues. I don't always get enough sleep so sometimes I'm quite tired by the end of the day, and my sinuses have suddenly decided to flip the fuck out (urg, why, WHY YOU DO THIS?!), but other than that I'm okay. I think.

I woke up Saturday with a horrible toothache that I later identified as an abscess. Two days later and I can barely open my mouth to spit out the phlegm and I'm pretty sure I have a sore throat too. The really shitty part? Provincial health insurance doesn't cover dental once you're over 18 and I can't afford to pay out of pocket.

I have a lot of health issues, so I spend a lot of time at one specialist or another. They give me good pills, though, so it's not all bad. Also, I'll finally be getting a hysterectomy soon, which makes up for a lot, too. Pretty stoked about that.

Rah. My iron is low, my Hga1c is elevated and my D is also probably low, like usual.

Other than that, perfect health.

For physical, just recovered from a sprained ankle. For mental, weekly therapy, doing so-so.

Ugh. I have a LEEP procedure scheduled for Friday and I'm kinda freaking out. I mean, I don't want cervical cancer, but there are just some places wires and electricity, and especially electrified wires do not belong.

We just had our mandatory health exam at my school, and I am underweight again. (Even more than I was last year.) Luckily they changed the rules so that people in sports clubs can have slightly higher or lower BMIs than would be otherwise acceptable (down to 16.5 and up to 28.5 if I recall correctly, whereas normally it's 18.5 and 26.5) without getting a talking-to from the doctor and a ton of bloodwork. Last year I was around 18.1 was told I needed to eat more cheeseburgers (almost literally, lol), but this year I'm 17.1 and safe, apparently.

I honestly don't know what I'm supposed to do about it. I look fine. Just athletic. I eat when I'm hungry, and quite sizable portions, too.
