Re: OTP
As for why - usually I find them well written, if not always well drawn, and while comics will always been an outlandish medium they tend to be relatable in their thoughts and feelings.

Re: OTP
Rough patches = Human on the Inside? I suppose also part of Revolution, but at least that was for plot purposes and not ... whatever HotI was. Not to mention the new Stormwatch, which is okay but not great. (That said, it hasn't been on my pull list since about issue 7 so it's been a while.)
In my perfect fantasy Authority, Midnighter got married in a proper suit and not that white monstrosity.
Just realized I forget to mention one of my all-time favorite couples, the one featured in my icon! I'll get them next time.
Re: OTP
I binged-read The Authority so I don't remember the name of the arcs that well, but I do recognize Human on the Inside. It was terrible and really odd and didn't fully feel like the characters.
I kind of appreciated that when they were separated there was a reason for it that fit in with the storyline, instead of just being 'they needed a break'. (Not that 'they needed a break' isn't a valid reason, mind.)
Oh, and I did like Pluto and Daylighter even if they made me sad. And their female counterparts, too! And that one reality where they kept saying they were straight...
I'm so behind on the new Stormwatch but I thought it was alright. IMO the farther it got the more the characters felt like the original, even though they were still separate and never clicked in the same way.

Agreed so hard. Whoever thought that was a good idea...was an idiot.
