Has anyone here ever provided a service for a celebrity? (ie Hair, makeup, served them at a restaurant, checked them out at a library, etc.) This counts for people like voice actors and stuff. Share your stories!

Sadly, I have none!

I helped out at my dad's workplace and measured the prescription of donated glasses that were being sent down to some place in Africa, and among those were glasses donated by celebrities. So no direct contact with any celebs and not really doing them a service, but now I can look at them and think "I know your just how bad your sight is", which is pretty stupid, but oh well.

Not me, but my dad used to be a taxidriver in New York. He once gave Tom Wolfe a ride, was apparently quite rude to him and told him he planned on going to law school. Lo and behold, my dad's name is in Bonfire of the Vanities as a law clerk.

How big of a celeb? My dad has sold motorcycle parts to David Pearson a fairly well known NASCAR driver. He was very nice (he came to our house).

I recognize David Pearson!

My dad once sold a keyboard to Depeche Mode, which they then used on tour. The band gave my parents VIP seats for the local concert, even.

I ran into Chyna (almost literally) in Narita airport on my way out of Tokyo. There was no time to say hi (flight to catch), so I just kind of did a double take and went, "HEY! You're awesome!"

I was the only person around who recognized her, but she was still kind of huddled up in a coat with huge sunglasses on. Way shorter irl than she looks on tv lol.

I taught the daughter of a Bond villain. My contract forbids me from saying any more.

I taught the son of a hockey player. (As a hockey fan, I was initially kinda awe-struck, but the whole family was awesome and friendly.)

My dad worked security at a bodybuilding event that included Arnold Schwarzenegger before he was famous. (Before Arnold was famous. My dad is still not famous.) Dad says he was polite, but otherwise didn't stand out at all except for having a really memorable name.

Does getting water for Grumpy Cat count?

I helped Professor Stephen Hawking get his chair started up a ramp. It was raining and the wheels were continuously slipping on the little lip at the bottom. I then got to hear his awesome robot voice say "thank you" followed by a brief smile.

Oh my god I am so jealous.

The fact that he thanked you says a lot. "Thank you" is falling out of practice so much now.

Joining in the jealous people over here. XD

Brandon Fraser stiffed my sister-in-law on a tip once when he was in town filming. :/ Now every time I see one of his movies that's what I think of first. It made me decide to actively avoid knowing things about the actors and creators I enjoy.

Yup. I waited on Bob Costas and his wife once. They were very sweet and also quite talkative, which in hindsight is not surprising.
