No, it's not rude at all. If you don't know, you don't know. And the name is simple to pronounce. It's "lahmek." No pause between syllables. It rhymes with, "Ahh, heck."

No. It's actually Hebrew. From the book of Genesis. Though I am Catholic. It's just one of those obscure Biblical names that every fifth Catholic kid gets.

Yeah, I'm that kid. (Don't get me wrong though. I love my name because it is unique.)
