I've only told two people about being asexual and that was before I found tumblr. Now I keep it to myself because I don't want to be associated with that bullshit. :/

I told one friend when I started figuring stuff out, but now she sometimes bring up to some people when it's not even relevant.

It's really embarrassing, but I haven't found a good time to tell her not to.

Wow, that is incredibly rude. It doesn't matter what a person's sexuality is; you don't go around announcing it on their behalf.

Forgive me; if you aren't looking for advice, please disregard the following:

I would suggest just bringing it up the next time you're one-on-one with her. It doesn't have to have any real preamble to it; just be like, "hey, I gotta talk with you about something."

And good luck, anon.

I am SUPER late to the party, and since this anon, I bet you won't see this, but seriously, thank you for this:

"Forgive me; if you aren't looking for advice, please disregard the following:"

Sometimes I just want to vent about things, but I've found if I do so to people, they always feel the urge to "fix" it. Often I'm not looking for help, just to blow of some steam, but I appreciate that they want to help...what I appreciate less is how annoyed they often seem to get when I don't want to immediately follow all their wonderful advice. It's the reason I never talk to anyone about my problems, they only make it worse. This little phrase? Would've saved me a lot of stress. Awesome. Thank you for that, seriously.
