Re: Fantasy/sci-fi book recommendation?

Haha well, I don't necessarily like confusing interweaving plots - not until I actually understand them, at which point, I like them a lot. lol I don't like being confused for 100+ pages, but I like intricate plots and details with lots of developed characters.

I tried A Song of Ice and Fire, but didn't much care for it - maybe the atmosphere was a bit too grim without much payoff for me? But I've had Brandon Sanderson recommended before, and have not read anything by him yet, so I went ahead and just found a cheap Kindle version on Amazon of one of the books! Thanks for the rec, I've been meaning to check out one of his books for awhile but just keep forgetting to actually look into it! Thanks. :D
