TEETHING TROUBLES

Ok. Minor cock ups with today's polls, mostly relating to preferences.

This poll has a few problems we should discuss.

1. I should have included every recommendation, not just the seconded recommendations. I'm sorry about that.

2. Each person can apparently only vote once (I can't find a way to turn this off. On this system, it's the only option. Is this a deal breaker? Should I try and find a new system?)

3. While each person can only sumbit their vote once, they are able to select multiple books with this vote. (I can turn this off, so that one vote can only include 1 book, what do you prefer? One vote containing only one book. r one vote containing as many books as you want?)

What should I do now. I'm inclined to say "Fuck it" and put a new poll together from scratch tonight, including all the books, and with voting restrictions however they stand clearly labelled. What do you all think?

I think the current system (where you can only vote once, but for as many books as you want) is the best way to go as regards voting system. I like being able to vote for multiple books. That is a good thing. Being able to just go in and vote multiple times doesn't work as well, because people can spam things, but being able to indicate multiple preferences is a good thing if you, you know, like multiple books on the list. The system is good, I think there was just some confusion.

And I still think you should just keep this poll. But, that's just my opinion.

I'm all for saying fuck it and starting over with a new poll--with ALL the books suggested! I also think I'd be best if each person could only vote for one title.

I'm sorry this hasn't been easier for you.

I think we should just go with this poll for this month.

As to future polls, I agree including all recommendations is the best way to go. Anything that was left off this month can be recced again next month an included then.

I prefer a system of one vote for one book per person in the future.

Thank you for organising everything. Teething troubles are to be expected and I think you've gotten us off to a great start. I'm really looking forward to reading our first book, whatever it is.
