all the plusses :) I do like some romance but there's something so special about this kind of story. It makes it seem like the love between people isn't anything to do with boners or being turned on, just liking each other, not dependent on looks or sex drive or anything but affection and warmth and love.

thing is i actually do like romance these days, but still have a special place in my heart for this kind of story.

'smarm' sound so hateful, but a lot of it in the Sentinel fandom (that I saw anyway - late to the party!) was just sweet and warm. Certainly didn't deserve to be mocked anymore than the sexy stories did! (For the record I think no fanfic needs to be mocked. Don't like it? Move on!)
