17. That happened to me too. I didn't take back what I said, but I did go to the person whose work I insulted and told her that just because I didn't like it, it didn't mean that other people weren't enjoying it.

I don't see the ads for her work anymore, so I don't know if she's still writing. I hope she is though. It wasn't even just my comment that disheartened her, I was just part of a mob, but I didn't want her to give up. To tell the truth, the ads didn't even bother me that much, and I don't notice that they're gone. That's how little I cared to begin with.

Ok, now I'm rambling. TL;DR: I understand how you feel. D:

20. You can say the same for people who are obsessed with characters, though. "OMG THEY'RE FICTIONAL, STOP FANGIRLING OVER THEM", so forth. It's a stupid reason, but I've disliked or hated characters for less than logical reasons too. >_>

29. ME TOO LOL. DUDE it's so great when I find out someone is a guy, I'm like "HOLY SHIT, IT'S A GUY!"

And then when I go on Gamefaqs or something like that, I always assume I'm the only girl.

In my case, she saw the secret I posted and got all excited, then actually asked her fans and devwatchers for concrit, because she'd never gotten any before and she wanted it now that she knew it was out there. (Even though all the stuff on that secret is stuff I'd brought up with her in the past, so the claim that she'd never gotten any crit is a lie.)

She got concrit. A decent measure of concrit. And apparently she didn't like it at all. She's almost-flounced three times now. This most recent time, she tried to guilt-trip people into feeling bad for her. (I'd feel a lot WORSE for her if she hadn't done that.)

In that case, then you didn't hurt her at all. She only hurt herself, asking for critique when she couldn't handle it (she probably knew this, but she expected nothing but compliments, I take it). I don't think that secret had anything to do for it. Bleh, I hate people who like... blatantly fish for compliments via critique and then bitch when they get what they asked for. ._.

But it... sounds like you know this. HAHAHA I guess I'm just repeating what you already think.
