Well, in my case, it's because I grew up with the movie \o/ The first time I saw it was when I was about four, I think. It's actually kind of annoying, to me, to see how much its popularity has soared lately--especially when it's featured on Hot Topic merchandise, which, what, that movie isn't faux-goth, it's about a freaking midlife crisis.

But there's nothing more gothic than musical numbers and sewing yourself a colorful new outfit in a quest to find new meaning to your life! Although if you're a skeleton, I guess pretty much everything you do has dark, edgy undertones.
