Re: Pairings you love in canon but don't like in fanfic

This is from years ago, I haven't read much lately, but I rarely liked Harry/Ginny in fanfic post-HBP, which is funny because before they were canon I was the other way around. However, Harry and Ginny's characters changed a lot after the fifth book, and yet I felt like so many H/G authors were writing Three Year Summer!Harry/Ginny, not Harry/Ginny as they'd become in canon. Plus, they always made Harry so fluffy and sweet.

I'm not saying this applies to every H/G fic either. There's still some that feel true to the characters. Or did, again this is going a few years back.
