Re: Pairings you love in canon but don't like in fanfic

Jack/Gwen. I like the (mostly)platonic relationship they have in canon, but Torchwood fandom bashes Gwen relentlessly that I refuse to read anything that has so much of a wiff of Gwack in it for fear that it's simply a bait and switch for Janto and thus making Gwen once again the evil bitch fandom seemingly enjoys painting her as.

Also Gwen/Owen, for not only the above bashing issue, but for the few Gwen/Owen fics I have found, it seems like fandom does an even worse job than the show did of painting the relationship as the deliciously fucked up relationship that it was, and instead painting it as moonlight and roses.
