I LOVE the Ferengi eps, especially the ones with Moogie. I didn't even know that they were hated; everyone that I knew that watched the series at the time adored them, especially in the later seasons when they were a nice change of tone from the very dark things going on in most of the other eps. (Or, maybe that's why some people didn't like them, because they felt it was too abrupt a tone change? IDK. I personally liked the humor in-between.)

I don't know if I've actually seen people hating on them, I was just told by some people in this community that they are polarizing in the fandom. Meh. I did hear that the tonal shift was the reason but come on sometimes you need to breathe. It wasn't like they were JUST there to be funny, there was stuff going on!
