I've gotta say, pretty much the only ships I've ever wanted to fail are the really big, fandom-devouring ones that I don't happen to ship myself. Steve/Tony, Clint/Coulson, John/Rodney, Harvey/Mike, Kirk/Spock, Sherlock/John, Newt/Hermann, etc.

I ship Steve/Bucky like burning and would be thrilled if the pairing ends up ringing the death knell for Steve/Tony. (This will never happen, but a girl can dream.) But if people come out of CA2 wanting to ship Steve or Bucky with anyone else--Natasha, Sam, Fury, Hill, Peggy, Sharon, Pierce...I think those are all the ships I've seen people mention so far--then I'm genuinely pleased about that. I think pairing diversity is a good thing for fandoms. :-)
