I'm sorry if this may be a little too ~fandomy for the thread, but honestly, ONTD and F!S remind me of each other in spades. You both hate tumblr and social justice, you get into fights among other groups albeit about smaller fandoms and not as popular subject matters, and there's quite a bit of nastiness on each side. I'm not saying the two communities have to like each other (& that's kind of weird anyway), but still.

ONTD hates social justice? I thought social justice was the main reason F!S hated ONTD.

It's somewhat fifty fifty, but I have definitely been in posts with people going "omg do some real justice/get angry over SERIOUS issues fuck microaggressions!!/this place is too pc!/this is some tumblr bullshit."

Oh, and as of late, "IF U GET OFFENDED BY SATIRE (that might actually be backfiring) YOUR A SJW!!!" It's F!S with a little less anonymousness.

They are a lot alike. Tbh, at least ONTD actually comes out and states their hate. FS gets nasty under the protection of being anonymous.

(I assume you're talking about Extreme Overblown Social Justice, not actual, legit social justice)

I haven't been there in a while but that was definitely not my impression of the place. They threw -ists left and right.

It's a huge comm, so lots of times it really is a toss-up...guess I could have said that they're like F!S in that anything that someone may feel upset by is automatically considered 'overreacting' and thrown out as invalid.
