I am for that reason! It's just Jon and Robb are still acting like 15 year olds when they look at least 18, etc.

Man. You must know some incredibly mature 18 year olds.

Don't you know that you magically mature 180o decrees right when you blow your 18th birthday cake candles.

No, I just think for example Jon's arc makes a lot more sense when he's 15-16. Plus it doesn't make in-world sense that he's still running around Winterfell as one of the kids at that age, anyway, considering his bastard status. It seems way more common for acknowledged bastards who are of age to be useful nearby but not all up in their natural parents' shit. (The Sand Snakes, Ramsay Snow [at first], Mya Stone, Edric Storm, etc.)

idek if you're even in this fandom but I thought I'd mention this anyway.

Robb def. acts older than 15-16 but he's been raised to become Lord of Winterfell so I don't think that's too surprising. Cat's arc makes more sense to me when she's a relatively young mother (around early thirties) than in her forties. Just examples.

No, it's still pretty accurate. Most of the young characters in the books acted far older than their ages. If anything, the show ages are closer to the book characterizations.

Also, less gross, so it's got that going for it.

The show runners literally said they aged up the kids because it was "too creepy" even for HBO come on.

And I said "I am [okay with them upping the ages] for that reason" so idk what you want me to say. It's a hard problem to solve, but the ripple effect has frustrated me. What can I say, ASOIAF has been one of my main fandoms for a while, and GoT is a weird splinter version that's kind of like Star Trek AOS. These are recognizable characters and a recognizable setting, but there are definitely changes, and there's a reason fandomers make a point of distinguishing which they're writing.

I just get miffed at people judging things in the show that make sense in the books and throwing shade at the books for it :(
