I participated in Purim Gifts the year after seeing the Star Trek reboot and chose to make three icons as the pic component of my gift, and one of the icons looked kind of...incomplete to me, and I said to myself, "You know what this icon needs? More lens flare.." So I added a lens flare effect, and it was good.
