The fact that it's considered normal for couples to share passwords and bank accounts and shit creeps the hell out of me, too. Like, are you supposed to have anything set safely aside in case things go to shit? Because most of the time, it will, and people are spiteful.

I'm honestly surprised by anyone who doesn't have more than one bank account, period. That just seems like basic common sense to me - have a checking account connected to your debit card where you keep a small amount of money for paying bills and such and then a savings account where you put all the rest. That way you won't be completely screwed over if someone gets your debit card number.

Exactly, plus, try to only operate through your debit cards and not your bank account number - cards can be cancelled and replaced before too much damage is done, direct bank accounts are much more difficult.
