implied Elrond would get confronted with a ghost of his twon brother
That was just because of the elf named 'Elros' in DOS, who as it turned out had nothing to do with Elrond (grrr).

I was a bit rope-able at Drunk-guy!Elf being named Elros too, but the piece of info I once saw specifically referred to a Dol Goldur scene.

Maybe they got mixed up and it did end up Drunk-guy, which would be a total cop-out since I rather liked the idea of the Necromancer throwing ghosts of the White Council's loved ones at them. I also have a huge fondness for Elros Tar-Minyatur because I RP'd him for a while.
