1. Beatles = ♥ :D What is that, exactly? I haven't heard of that event.
21. I'm sure you'll find something exciting to do if you get out there and try new stuff! :3 Also, that is quite the adorable picture of Zidane and Vivi. Is that official art or fanart? I've never seen that before. :O
23. :< I don't know what fandom that is, but I feel your pain. One of my favorite pairings ever only has a teeny bit of fanart and practically NO good fic for it, and the maybe TWO decent stories are very, very short and the authors don't seem to be actively writing anymore. See if any of your friends will write a giftfic for you? Ask at Yuletide Treasure (http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/) next year? Promote it around and see if you can get anyone into the fandom with you? Good luck. D:
25. THIS IS THE BEST SECRET EVER. EVER. (also agreed, wtf @ turning political allegory into crap)
26. He WAS pretty cool. :3
28. I'm so, so sorry. I don't have any words of wisdom or anything, just... I'm sorry. ♥
30. That would be nothing short of hilarious.
33. Me too. D:
36. It does seem rather overwhelming, though. But yeah, the more the merrier! :O

Why would you think the game would no longer be available? You realize that stores take in used copies of games and popular ones that have so many copies printed because they're well loved (like Ratchet) will be sitting on the shelves FOREVER AND A DAY, I promise you this. You can also trade in stuff you're not playing anymore and try to save up store credit to add onto birthday/christmas money and anything else you're saving up. The PS3 just dropped in price on the 40 gig system, too! (warning though it's not backwards compatible, so you can only play PS3 stuff) $399 is still a lot, but it's certainly better than the whopping $600 the system launched at. YOU CAN DO IT. It seems like an amazing game and I can't wait to try it. YOU CAN DO IT~~ Good luck!! ♥

I live in an area that could be best described as the ass-crack of God. Phasing out older games from the shelves to make room for new games is common practice. The nearest video game store is 25 kilometres away, and even they don't specialize in video games, they just offer them alongside music and DVDs. I haven't asked them if they take in used games, but I'm willing to bet the answer is no.

Trawling eBay and online stores for used copies is hard when you don't have a credit card. =/

I could try waiting until the game goes Platinum, then I could get it for cheaper (holy crap, it's like 70€ at the moment). I'm still gunning for the 60 gig PS3 (give me backwards compatibility or give me death!), and I have the patience to wait until its price drops.

Thanks for the encouragement! ♥

D8 Yeah, those circumstances would definitely make it harder.

The 60 gig is the one I got, for that exact reason -- I didn't think there was a point to owning the system if it was missing half of its features, either. SONY apparently is "disappointed" that people mostly aren't wanting the PS3 for PS3 games yet... so they take away the ability to play PS1/PS2, which was selling the system? Yeah, not a wise idea. Unfortunately, the 60 gig hasn't been produced for months, and has been discontinued. Hence my decision to just go for it last week when under normal circumstances I'd planned on getting one when Metal Gear came out (at the end of next year? who knows). Maybe by the time you buy one they'll rerelease a backwards-compatible version? You can replace the harddrive to any size you want without voiding the warranty, so the space that comes with it isn't necessarily an issue.

On the other hand, if you do manage to get a credit card and/or find an online seller that will take (international) money orders or something, in a year/years from now you may well be able to find both for considerably cheaper. The game would probably hang around $35-$50 for a while, even with a used copy; the ones that tend to drop in price quickly are the sports titles, and to some degree, the games that launched with the system.

So. HMM. You're right, you probably won't be able to find it locally if that store is your only option, but SOMEONE out there will be selling their system and/or the game online when you decide to buy them.

I hope that was helpful in the slightest. XD;;; GOOD LUCK ONCE AGAIN ♥ I AM SURE YOU WILL ONE DAY BE REUNITED WITH YOUR LOMBAX BUDDY

(omg first time my secret's been above the cut w00t)

Rain is a group of five guys (four on instruments and one on keyboard) who do live shows where they play the Beatles. They sing all the songs in the original key and more or less at the original speed, and... oh man, how can I explain? They sound like the Beatles. They have the body language down, and the accents, and of course the costumes and (mostly) authentic guitars and stuff. They encourage singing along. But I swear it was like getting into a time machine and stepping out in the '60s.

Basically, I felt like I was seeing the Beatles live, and it rocked so hard I'm still grinning, weeks later.

That is such a COOL idea D: oh man. oh maaaan. I got to see Paul McCartney during his Back in the US tour, and that was beyond amazing -- best concert I've ever been to -- but wow, what a great concept for a show. ♥ I'm so glad you got to experience that. :333
