Okay, so, the reason advertisers pay for celebrity endorsement is because it works. Granted many people only try something to see if they like it, but some people think other brands are better and still want to use what their favorite celebrity does. People fantasize all the time, sometimes about celebrities, sometimes not. Sometimes props help with a fantasy (I don’t smoke and won’t ever smoke, but for whatever reason I have sometimes liked to pretend I do and used candy cigarettes or pretzel sticks as props – it’s silly, but harmless). Putting all that together and given that OP is using something public to get the information, what exactly is the issue?
