Yay, Spirou!!

Are you sure you have no interest in the series? Tome & Janry's run on it was really good and worth a try, IMHO.

Yup! made it myself, cutting/pasting/recolouring a panel from Les Trois soleils de Vinéa. It's far from perfect but I like it.
Yoko Tsuno was my favourite series growing up and it's still one of my favourite fandoms today up until Emilia showed up, that is. I may have to call Canon Discontinuity on the last albums. And I, uh, wrote a few ficlets too. Gosh, I so wish it were more active as a fandom!

i like it, you chose a really great panel.
i admit i haven't read the last album but i liked le septième code well enough (i was happy to see olga again).
i didn't even know there was a fandom, tbh. would you mind sharing your ficlets? i've never read fic for this fandom and i'm curious.

Thank you!

Le septième code was OK: yay Olga! but to me things went downhill after. Time travel without Monya was a disappointment, and I feel what added to the Vinéens' history was unnecessary... and cheap.

Most of mine are here on my writing archive:

plus a couple of drabbles over at my journal waiting to be reposted:

I think [livejournal.com profile] elwan59 and [livejournal.com profile] taraxacumoff have written some, too, but I'm not sure where they're posted.

OP

I like stories that start at the beginning, go to the end, and stop. My impression is that Spirou is one of those series that keeps going and going and going, and sooner or later, I always start to feel like they're just repeating themselves, becoming hollow shells of what they used to be. I might pick up an issue or two down the line, but I don't think I'd become a real fan of it.

(Yes, Joe Quesada, I do want to see Spider-Man grow old and die. Better death than brave decay.)
