Not everyone cares about that stuff, though. I've played plenty of video games and I only ever try for everything once I've already beaten it the first time around. Even then, I'd have to really love the game. LPs are generally MORE thorough than the way I play, so I'm really getting more out of it by watching than doing it myself and potentially giving up or getting distracted.
