Re: Writing in public

I do almost all of my writing at the local Starbucks or the library, and on a borrowed laptop. Since most of my life revolves around my main computer, it's too easy to distract myself with any number of things I could be doing while sitting here. When I'm in a public place with my headphones on, my brain has been trained that all I am allowed to do right now is write and occasionally play solitaire when my brain locks up completely.

That is exactly why I'm thinking of trying out a public setting. Even disconnecting my main computer from the internet doesn't seem to help. I'm hoping to get the whole "train myself to focus" if I can get into a new and different setting.
