I guess I worded that badly. My bad, I'd try to explain what I mean exactly but I'm having trouble putting my thoughts to words.

You meant to say 'it doesn't make him good'... and I agree. I don't think he's a wholly good person, but there is good in him, which is more than can be said for a host of other people in the series.
