I read like three of that author's books before realising I just plain despise everything he's ever written. It was a shame, too, because everyone goes on and on about how good Wicked-the-book is, and 'fake fans' or what the fuck ever who've only seen the play and not read the book, and I know if I tried to read it I'd just end up quitting like two chapters in. That man has a serious kink for put-upon protagonists who'd get called Mary Sues if he were posting to ffnet instead of publishing.
