Also, in the musical Wicked's defense, the book was shit so they didn't have much to work with. I swear, I hated that book.

I read that book only once back in high school, and to this day I can't forget the one scene where Fiyero's daughter decided it'd be a good idea to play with Elphaba's broom while topless and then accidentally lost control and got taken on a bare-breasted flight. I mean, there were many WTF moments in that book, but I think that one will forever take the cake.
