If I said I went out with a guy, no one would blink. Talk about if I went out with a girl, and HORROR! SHOCK! SCANDAL!
Some of the labels I think are ridiculous, but there are others that I'm glad exist. When I was growing up, I thought I was straight, just "broken". Because my feelings for a cute guy weren't any different than for a cute girl. (And David Bowie was the most gorgeous thing on the planet. XD)
Now I can say I'm bisexual if people ask. I have something I can use to explain the way attraction works for me. It doesn't define who I am, but it's an integral part.
