I adore analyzing characters--writing characters is what I enjoy the most about writing, so I always (over)analyze characters in shows I'm watching so I can think of new fanfic.

Sometimes, I don't mind changes too much, if they make sense or if they mean the end product is good.

But when they made Hercules Hera's son... that's just like making a movie about Random Strong Guy. *rolls eyes*

I do that all the time! Not exactly a Miyazaki movie, but I pretend that I'm in a different kind of world and on an adventure.

7. I don't know about that fandom in particular, so I can't say anything about its quality.

But I don't see how it's a double-standard, honestly. Some fandoms change mythology and get away with it, because the final product is good. Some fandoms change mythology and end up with something that sucks. It's the same with book-to-movie adaptations: some are good, some are bad, some are blah.

So no, I don't think I have a double-standard because I like many different versions of the Arthurian myth and still hate Saint Seiya.

4. Yeah, really D: I'm so scared of that game coming out. I love the games because they had a strange kind of magic about them. Phoenix has given me an odd sense of squee whenever I pick up the PW:AA games... I want to keep playing the AA series, but seeing how Phoenix turns out in AJ:AA... It makes me not want to play. I think I would fall for the new characters like I have for the original cast but still... it wouldn't be the same ._.
