MTE. It's the same with the new Avril Lavigne video that's been going around. "WATCH THIS HORRIBLE VIDEO" yeah... watch it and give it views and make it go viral. And before that it was articles about what clothes men hate on women. The more traffic a page has, the more the people who make that content will likely make something similar. That's brilliant on tumblr's part.
