Seconding the Elfquest resentment. It went south. I had hopes for the Final Quest but based on the teaser we got...those hopes are gone.

After Suntop's sooper speshul magic baby started floating in midair with the sun shining behind her like a halo (and can I just point out that she looked nothing like either parent?) half an hour after being born, I was done.

OMG, lol! I'd obviously stopped reading before this magical, magical event, but your description is priceless. Suntop was over-the-top super magical special snowflake as it was - I can't believe they found a way to top that.

Wow, I read Elfquest back in the day and enjoyed it immensely, but this... doesn't sound so good.

And yet, I want to hear more. Not read it, mind you, just hear about it. Is anyone sporking it online?

Suntop was fine at the beginning. Five year old with weird powers who gets stressed when the adults don't believe/understand him? I can buy that.

Then he turned eight and started hearing voices and wasn't nearly as much fun as his sister. In fact, he doesn't really do much except be magical. That's where his personality begins and ends.

It's sad how EQ got worse instead of better.
