He's best known for his Russel Middlebrook series. It's about a teenager who discovers he's not the only LGBT kid in his school. Since it's high school and high school sucks, he and his friends start a 'Geography Club' (which is also the name of the book). They figure nobody will want to join a club about Geography so it's safer than a Gay-Straight Alliance.

I liked it. The MC is a nice kid whose angst doesn't stem from his sexuality, but from finding a bf and getting through high school in one piece. The book itself is a rather gentle read. You don't want to throw yourself off a cliff when you're finished with it. And, as I said, the author is a peach.
