Right...I think that is what everyone is saying.

Original erotica is horribly written and I've never found something I've liked, even the well-like published novels. Fan fiction is so much better, because...well, I think because you get that back and forth with the readers more. Though it could be for a lot of reasons. Like for me I started writing for the story, and then people wanted sex so when it felt like the story could naturally go there I started to go there. The more I wrote the more sex I wrote as I become comfortable with it.

I think this might be the major difference between fan fiction erotica and original erotica. With most fan fiction it seems like (no matter how much sex is present) the story was thought of first. Where with the erotica I've read, it feels like they were just trying to come up with a reason to write about two (or more) people having sex. The stories just didn't pull me in.

(Original wise, I have found a few good ones on Fiction Press; but once again I'm pretty sure they label it romance no matter how detailed and erotic the and many sex scenes there are. The story still comes first.)
