I have some kind of mole (hema something?) on my labia majora. I went to the gyno several months ago and they said it was nothing to worry about.

Well, I noticed it has gotten a bit bigger and firmer. It also sort of hurts. Not terribly but I am aware of it.

I don't know if this is something I should go to the gyno for or not. I can't really afford it right now if it is something stupid.

Sounds kind of like a genital wart and that maybe your doc is a moron.

If it has changed since the last time you saw your doctor, then yes, you should go back.

After much googling, I am 99% sure it is a angioma. So I am going to call her tomorrow and see if she has any advice for it she can tell me over the phone. D:

Might be an abscess. Most of the time they drain on their own, especially when they're on the majora and not the minora, but they can be persistent and get pretty painful before they do. If you're not sexually active, I wouldn't worry about it. If you are active, see if you can find a free clinic in your area.

Hm, I don't think this is an abscess. I googled and think it is a angioma (cherry maybe). So I'll call her tomorrow and see if she can offer any advice.

Not to second guess your Google-fu when it comes to self-diagnosis of mystery lumps, but also consider this:

Particularly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epidermoid_cyst

... which can and does occur on the labia.

if it's a standard mole (or angioma like you said), it most probably is benign, but at the same time anything which gets bigger and firmer should be looked at again - maybe by someone else, for peace of mind?
