Yes, it's a TV show. There are maybe five episodes? I'm not sure. If you search for петренко шерлок холмс 2013 you'll see some pics. I can't believe I googled it. Holmes apparently wears glasses.

OP is right about terrible portrayal of Irene Adler. There was some Holmes/Adler too, though I'm a bit hazy on details.
