The character looks identical to the actor. It would be bad art if there was no resemblance. Weirdo.

The character looks identical to the actor.

Man, I don't know. You'd be surprised at how many fic writers are absolutely convinced Sherlock has a chin even though Benedict Cumberbatch clearly has no such appendage.

And it's not a new trend either. You'd be surprised at the number of people who are convinced Starsky is about half Hutch's size instead of, like, two inches shorter and sans the stingray-sized hands.
