Greeks always seem to name the first son after the father's father, and the first son after the father's mother (then they start in on the rest of the father's relatives). There was never any doubt that I'd be named Margaret. Same with my cousin who was born three months earlier.

This is why I lol at people who piss and moan that their friend totes stole the super-speshul name that they would have named their kid if their friend hadn't gotten pregnant first. They would plotz if they came to one of my big fat Greek extended family's weddings: if you yelled "GEORGE!!!" in the middle of the dance floor, about ten guys would go "What?"
