In the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game (and in the show, since many cards are based on the show) there are archetypes, which refer to groups of monsters usually sharing part of their name and the spell/trap cards that support them (occasionally the latter have their own archetype or are part of the monster archetype). Usually decks are based on groups of cards within an archetype that support one another.

The archetype I'm mentally building for Mass Effect is based on the Normandy, with all the monsters (i.e. characters) being called "____ of the Normandy", and a Field Spell Card called simply "The Normandy". The rest of the spell/trap cards are based on the Citadel and support the Normandy monsters.

I've also given thought to archetypes based on MLP (I know others have also done this), Homestuck, and other things. I actually have some really cool ideas for the latter...

Man, now I want to go work on this. Even though I am also giving attention to my Pokémon biology/classification project. And I should be working on homework rather than doing either of those things, or going to bed.

WOW I am a nerd.
