Mine doesn't give me problems either. Granted I don't fight so I'm not sure how my hair would react in that situation but I do exercise and other activities with my hair loose without problems. I actually hate the feel of my hair being anything but loose so if I were an action female character I would want it loose on purpose or else it's going to be distracting.
