(Anonymous) 2014-04-27 03:36 am (UTC)(link)The pins are long and flexible enough that they hold on each other, forming a very solid matrix-like structure close to your head and the bun ends up being very secure. Seriously, you could swim in it and it would hardly budge. I used it for years before I changed my hair style and cut it very short.
I think it is very similar to the way the military does it in the US (http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Military-Bun) but no ponytail holder or hairspray.
By the way, while it's true that doing it after you shampooed your hair and without drying it completely is best, I recommend you use conditioner and comb your hair after rinsing it, not before you shampoo. Trust me on this...

(Anonymous) 2014-04-27 03:50 am (UTC)(link)Anyway, the hairnet should not simply be put on top of your completed bun, but help secure it too. And if you choose a nice looking one, the end result can look really elegant (as opposed to choosing one with flounces or lace or whatever on it?)
