(Anonymous) 2014-04-27 04:13 am (UTC)(link)If you left your 3DS in sleep mode for that long, chances are that's what happened. The SD card, and possibly the internal memory itself, got way too hot from being in a plugged-in system for that long. 3DS's aren't designed to be powered up for longer than their usual battery life. I mean, most of us will do that when the stupid red lights start flashing at us in the middle of a game, but the system still needs regular breaks to calm down. If you had remembered to check on it when you were done with the movie, it would have been fine. The next morning too, even. But a week later just exhausted it. (Note that none of this is said in an accusing tone, I'm just giving "what if" scenarios)
I'd say get a new SD card. If that doesn't fix your problem, it's the internal memory, so you should have someone look at it.
