I've had people like that before but, naturally, they always ended up disappointing me. I hope I've grown up and know better now. It's certainly more fun loving people without ignoring their flaws.

I wish I could do that.
It's not that I ignore their flaws or stupid comments, it's that what they flaw'd at (bear with me) is unforgivable in my eyes. So it's simply easier for me to not like or stan for anyone. But it's kind of a downer to not be excited for anyone anymore.

Oh I get that. Back when I was in secondary school, I adored my English teacher so much the when she finally did mess up in my eyes, it was like her pedestal just broke and I couldn't really forgive her, for not living up to my standards, you know? But I managed to get over it. That was how I learned to not idolise anyone so much. It's not fair for them, either, when I do it.

Yep. I can definitely let a smaller 'off' comment slide, but it's startling how many famous people I liked turned out to be racist. My judgement is terrible.
