Rating anyone on a scale of 1 - 10 based on attractiveness. I've always just looked at a girl and either thought "gorgeous" or "not my type". Simple and effective in my opinion. I don't really hang out with guys who do the number rating scale because they always seem like giant tools.

Number system in general bother me because nobody bothers getting out of the higher numbers to actually make it useful.

It's just a bunch of 6s to 10s. Nobody ever bothers rating stuff a 1.

I've never understood that either. A rating system for attractiveness is a bit odd imo, and saying "gorgeous" or "pretty" or "cute" makes so much more sense to me.

Exactly. I don't see how it's linear enough for a numeric system.

Definitely. It also doesn't take into account people that I can see other people being attracted to, but that I don't really do it for me for whatever reason.

That's such a good point. Like 90% of the people I would deem attractive I wouldn't actually be attracted to.

Yea, there's just SO many ways a person can be attractive, and so much variety...numbers don't feel adequate at all.

It's all basically bullshit, too. I posted a picture of a random woman to a dedicated PUA site shilling that as an "objective" scale (because facial symmetry! and golden ratio!) and the posters there rated her anywhere from 4 to 8. So yeah, to some guys you might be a 4, to others you're an 8. What do you mean, attractiveness is subjective?!?! If someone can range across half the scale to any given person, it's worthless.
