Frankly, Abrams will simply go on to grind Star Wars into the same kind of horrible paste he did Star Trek, so i really don't care *who* they cast, it's going to suck.

I only recognized a couple of names from that list, anyway (barring previous cast members).

My first thought - 'who the hell is Bill Weasley?'. My second thought - 'who the hell played Bill Weasley?'.

I really only know who Max Von Sydow is. And he kicks ass.

I can't remember Bill's actor's name. I just knew the face. He was one of my favorite secondary characters in the books.

Nothing I've heard about this movie is enough to get me excited. The prequels sucked, Abrams' sucks, and all I can imagine is that it'll be another generic sci-fi movie.

Ah. Maybe i'd know him if the picture had loaded for me, but my interwebz is for shite today.

Yeah, i'm pretty much convinced that this is going to be utterly horrible and soul-killing. I already utterly ignore the first three movies, so ignoring this one/these won't be hard, either.

Yeah, methinks I'll save my money. Some of the other movies coming out around then look interesting (Pan, Macbeth, Fallen) so I'll spend that money elsewhere.

Yup. It's the kind of movie you dl later and have no guilt over. Getting interesting non-super-mainstream movies in my bitty town is hit or miss, so who knows what i'll get to see this summer.

Keep an eye out for Macbeth. The guy in my icon is playing Macduff and he is a fantastic actor.

Thus far, the only bright spots I see about the upcoming Star Wars are:

1. Lawrence Kasdan.

2. Keeping cinema continuity separate from novel and comic continuity. They always were separate, but fandom seems to have gone off it's rocker bitching that Zahn and Salvitore are not going to be treated equally to Lucas and Kasdan in movie continuity.

3. Max von Sydow.

1. I had to google him, since i suck at names, but yes, at least he has a clue.

2. The only SW tie-in novel i've ever read was 'Splinter of the Mind's Eye', which i really liked. Otherwise, that part of the 'verse is blank slate to me.

3. He is awesome. But sadly, I don't think he can save what will probably be an excruciating exercise in mediocrity.
