It had a very clear style -- one which I think discouraged me from connecting emotionally with the characters how I otherwise might have.

Eh....sorta. The one for Black and White was crap, imo. It sounded like a vapid Christian song...

I prefer the Japanese, just cause they're so catchy. And the first season's English one of course.

Though if the first season's song was played for the Diamond and Pearl anime...I;d be a happy camper. Favorite season of them all~

Same. I'm rather introverted. I don't wear my thoughts on my sleeve; my face's default setting is 'neutral' (which most people seem to mistake for sad, bored, or mad), and I don't visibly/verbally react to things I'm watching while I'm watching them. I actually find reactions while watching shows or movies to be distracting to my enjoyment of it, so I prefer watching them alone. Or with people I know don't tend to get dramatic while watching :p.

Both can be true. She's not only on the show for eyecandy, she is as much an active team member as all the others. However, she is also an attractive woman and willing to play it up on occasion. *shrug* It doesn't do anything for me, but I don't think it should be allowed to detract from all the other work she does.

To be honest, the whole debacle behind the video was ridiculous. It was basically a bunch of non-Japanese people telling the Japanese that they should be offended.
