Funny how SJWs were bothered by this and not Gwen Stefani's fetishization of Asian people in several videos.

How do you know they weren't back when that was a relevant point of discussion?

Yeah, that one song where she's like, If I had a bajillion dollars, I'd wrangle a posse of Japanese girls and I'd actually rename them to suit my tastes and that would be cool. What? Girl, what? No, what? Come on. Hard to say if I'd be offended by it if I was Asian (trying to think of it like maybe if a female Japanese artist was like, If I had a bajillion dollars, I'd wrangle a posse of American girls and I'd rename them Tiffani and Kelli and Jenni and that would be cool. I think I'd mostly just find that laughable but it's not quite the same.) since I'm not, though I think I probably would be a little offended.

Or you just have your head in the sand; I've seen tons of criticism of her for that. Same for Nicki Minaj, among others, just so we don't fall into the "SJWs don't care if it's POCs being racist!!!" trap. You're seeing what you want to see in order to vilify a group of people, period.

(I'm not even an SJW, I just think blanket statements about any group of people are annoying and blatantly wrong most of the time, which just makes it more annoying.)

Oh, yes, they were back then. Only it wasn't as loud when the those videos came out because sites like tumblr weren't around. There wasn't a huge internet platform to sound off and news agencies like CNN and Fox News were trolling social media sites for which stories they should cover next.
